Oil on canvas painted around 1890 and signed in the lower right corner Ed. van Rijswijck. The size of the canvas is 20x10.4 inches.

A magnificent early painter of the master of the still lifes. Paintings by this Belgian Master are extremely rare. The paintings are extraordinary beautiful and detailed painted. The painting has a new frame and is in outstanding condition.

Edward van Rijswijck studied at the Art Academy of Antwerp in Belgium and developed himself as a gifted and highly appreciated painter of flower stilllifes. His paintings reach high prices on auctions but are not often on the market. Christies Amsterdam had 9 paintings of him in the 1999 Sale.
Edward van Rijswijck was the grandsun of the important Begian painter Théodore van Rijswijck.
