Berlin 1900- The Hague 1965“Wonderful impressionistic square view in Paris”. Watercolor on paper laid down on academy board. Very beautiful impressionistic style, strongly painted in lovely colors. Well signed this watercolor can be dated around 1930. The size of the watercolor, which is not framed, is 20x13 inches. Excellent condition and a very interesting watercolor by a well sought after painter. Gerard Cohn was born in Berlin Germany but was naturalized as Dutch in 1947. He lived and worked in Germany, France, Sweden, U.S.A. and since 1937 in The Hague. He signed his paintings in most cases with G.C. Roemers after his mother’s maiden name.
